DOGS NEEDING FOSTER HOME
7. May 2012 von matthew
This page shows dogs who would benefit from being in a foster home. There are many reasons why this is needed
- a sick dog that need to recover and monitoring
- Dogs recovering from operations
- dogs who need medication more regularly than can be undertaken in the shelter
- Dogs waiting to fly off to their new home
- Puppies while they have their vaccination and are protected enough to come to the shelter
The following dogs require a foster home if you feel you could help this dog call the Duty phone on 97780779

KINE
Kine – been at sirius since 2005, and was admitted as a pupppy, with his brother, spaniel cross, beautiful loyal nature dogs, who have struggled with shelter life, things got much worse for Kine, at the end of last year when his brother died in a tragic accident involving bigger dogs at the shelter, at this point a piece of Kine died, his depression has got much worse, and although he has a bed in his pen, he chooses to curl up in the far right hand side of his pen, as if to say if i crawl far enough back, will i become invisable, there is little excitement for food, walks or love, he has lost the will to live, but given a chance in a foster home, we all believe Kine could come back in leaps and bounds learn to love again and make some one an amazing loyal dog. Can you offer Kine a long term foster home, all expense will be covered by Sirius Dog Sanctuary

GEORGE
“Meet our cheeky george, a strong fiesty character, who has learnt how
to get attention at sirius, like a naughty child, george has learned
to cause trouble gets him attention and the shelter brings out the
worse in this dog, due to his naughtiness and sirius policy to give
all pespective adption families full discloser it has made it hard to
find the right family to give george a chance, for this reason we feel
george would be ideal for a long term foster home, ideally a young
couple without other dogs, cats or children, who would love a dog but
can not take on the long term financial support a dog needs, by
fostering george full support could be given and we could see this dog
strive in a home again. George would be high energy, keeping you on
your toes but rewarding in his fun and games, as you watch this boy
grown. Another cheeky boy ferndinad had the same issues, and now in
his foster home for 3months he appears to have turned over a new leaf
so much the family wish to adopt him, could some one give george the
same trial, can any one take a chance on george?”

LEWIS
Lewis – if you met Lewis you would be mistaken that he is an old dog of 10 years, he is only 2 years old and shelter life has done him no favours, Lewis used to be a fun loving dog, delighted to see people, but depression again has gotten the best of him, he hides in his orange house, he will take a treat but then runs back in his house, its the only place he feels safe, he is getting worse day by day, but we know this is not how Lewis should be, last year Lewis spent time in foster care with one of our volunteers, he became a normal loving dog, who played, enjoyed a cuddle on the sofa, now he can bearly look you in the eyes, can anyone give Lewis a chance, all expense will be covered by Sirius Dog Sanctuary

MOGLI
Mogli has been at the shelter since 2005 he is one in only 4 dogs that have been there this amount of time, and due to his age and timid nature he is often over looked for adoption, aprox 8-9 years old, it would be such a shame for mogli to spend his entire life in the shelter, for this reason we are looking for a long term foster home for mogli, would you like a dog but are un…able to make the financial comitment having a dog can involve, then mogli could be the dog for you, he would remain the financial responsibilty of sirius, you would only have to give him love, he gets on with other dogs, he shares a pen with 3 ladys and he is a bit of a Hugh Heffner ladies man, when walked on his own he is afraid, when walked with his girls in a group he seems to cope much better. Can you offer Mogli a home to spend the the remaining years of his life or is he to spend all his days at sirius not knowing what being part of a family really means…….
